Welcome
to Enron Field! These pics were all taken on June 24th, 2001. Reds came to play
against the Astros and lost. BUT, the game was awesome! Reds kept the game up
neck to neck tie all the way till the 8th inning. I was hoping for a good few
extra innings. This was my first time seeing the new Enron Field. It was small,
yet beautiful. I still miss my Astrodome, but I hope to get over it. The bad
parts about Enron Field are that the visitors bullpen is far away and no fans
can get near it at all. Another is that after the game, both teams exit from
one gate instead of a gate for each. Astros' players' parkinglot is located
in an underground garage, so the players get in their cars and drive out, instead
of walking out of the gate. The visiting team's bus goes into the garage, picks
up the boys and leave. There is about a 2% chance that a fan could get an autograph
or take pictures by staying after the game. This was way hard to get to meet
Mark at Enron. I saw him ride away on a bus, and couldn't get near the bullpen.
But with my fans in mind, I HAD to get some good pics, I tried! With wonderfully
great tickets right behind the Reds dugout, I did not fail! Here ya are.
For visitors wanting to see Enron Field, I don't recommend the travel if you
want my advice. |

These
two pics were taken during BP. That practice jacket looks awesome. Mark is
walking to the dugout in these pics. I'm trying to scream his name and take
pictures at the same time, so sorry they came out blury. When I got there,
he was throwing balls at the left field score board, made such a huge noise,
I noticed him right away. LOL He went into the dugout an hour before the game
started, so I wasn't able to get ahold of him...maybe next time.

Boone, don't take him out! Ah well, Since this was my first time seeing him
live as a Red, I was soooo happy! I hope he stays with the Reds, even though
I still miss him with the Braves. I hope to see him again before the season
ends...maybe better pics!
