Saturday Night Live Skit, Dec '97If you missed it, you missed out. BUT, you may catch it on a rerun, because they show it alot, mostly around huge sport events. The main point was a little boy played by Chris Kattan. He is tucked in by his mom(Helen Hunt-host) at night and tells her about his dreams of being a pro baseball player when he grows up. She tucks him in and leaves the room. In walks in baseball players by the few. Todd Hundley and Scott Rolen introduce Mark Wohlers to the boy. In enters Mark in Braves uniform.The Mother(Helen Hunt) enters the room to check on her son. The 3 players hide in the room. As she leaves, Mark comes back out from hiding and says, "Wow, your mom is HOT!" Mark picks up the boy's model airplane and messes around with it. "Hey I think I broke this." Mark kicks up the party by picking up the radio. "Hey man, does this radio work?" He turns it on and the guys start to jam as other players kept entering the room, one with a keg. Other Braves players that entered were Gerald Williams and Pedro Bourbon.
99X Interview sound clips, the "Wodaddy Show"The "Wodaddy Show (is what we called it anyway)" was on almost every Friday early morning during the baseball season when Mark was with the Braves. It was on a 99X radio station in Atlanta, and I got up at 6 am every Friday morning to try to catch it. It didn't really have an exact time, it was mainly whenever Mark woke up. For those that have listened before, you know it was very funny with the DJ's Jimmy, Barnes, and Lisa(I believe that was her name). I taped a few shows in '98 that I listened on through the internet. Check out 99x here.Start off your morning with a good morning from Mark. The intro to the show started off with Goo Goo Dolls' "Take me out to the ball game" and then the famous, Number 43, Mark Wohlers(announcer).....Mark WoDaddy Wohlers(i think Jimmy)!" Listen to what Mark thinks about Andruw Jones. Mark's response to the huge and emotional standing ovaition in '98. Barnes has a wedding coming up, and Mark is asked if he will make it to the wedding, You better believe it, I just hope Barnes makes it." Still on the Barnes Wedding discussion, Jimmy says, "Of course he'll be there, where ever there is free food, Mark is there."...."(Mark)Of course, free food and no obligation to bring a gift, I'll be there." Talking about Mark loosing alot of weight, "Mark has no ass anymore!"
